Safe Place, a free ministry of Hillcrest Baptist Church, provides children with a safe place to talk about their loss and help them move through the grief process toward healing.   Small groups are led by volunteer facilitators who have completed background checks and trainings.  Each session lasts thirteen weeks and is designed to facilitate children's movement through the grief process toward acceptance of life's changes and losses, forgiveness of those whom they perceive to have caused the changes and losses, and an understanding that despite the crisis their Heavenly Father remains constant in His presence and His love.
